On June 10th, the workshop “Corporate social responsibility in the Sacyl. Environment Week and LIFE Smart Hospital Project” was held. The meeting was inaugurated by the Regional Health Minister of Castilla y León, Mr. Antonio M. Sáenz Aguado and was attended by 100 participants, including Hospital Managements, Maintenance Services, Occupational Risk Prevention Services, other public administrations and collaborating companies.
The agenda of the day was divided into 4 Tables, one on CSR and the other 3 corresponding to the demonstration axes of the project (Energy, Water and Waste). The different speakers were representing the Castilla y León Regional Health Management, La Paz Hospital, Soria Hospital, EREN, CONSENUR, Valladolid City Council and Waste Treatment Center of Valladolid.
This event was the culmination of the “Environment and LIFE Smart Hospital Week”. During the previous days, it has been carried out a general and specific training aimed at all the staff of the sanitary center, in which the improvements obtained in the HURH in terms of energy, water and waste have been disseminated. A total of 2500 workers have participated in both the general training and in the different specific sessions for the different units (hospital blocks, nursing, emergency room, burn unit, laboratory, industrial area, kitchens, cleaning and maintenance staff, etc.)
